Benzodiazepines will only be prescribed for daily use to individuals who are attempting to discontinue them and need help tapering off. They may be prescribed in small amounts for occasional use to individuals with certain disorders other special circumstances.

If your efforts to cope, distract yourself, and reach out to others for help have been insufficient, call 911 or report to your local urgent care or emergency department. Also consider calling the National Suicide Prevention hotline (988), or reaching out to the crisis text line by texting “home” to 741-741.

During this time take the measures necessary to make your environment safe and remain focused on what is important to you.

Each patient and situation will be evaluated thoroughly and holistically and determinations will only be made after a full initial assessment.
